Özet

Tez Sarı Uygur Türkçesi ağızlarının bir ses bilgisi incelemesidir. Çin resmî literatüründe, Moğolca konuşanları ile birlikte ortak Yugur etnonimi ile adlandırılan Sarı Uygur Türklerinin Türkçe konuşanları Çin Halk Cumhuriyeti sınırları içinde yoğun olarak Gansu Eyaleti Sunan Sarı Uygur Özerk İlçesi’nin Dahe ve Minghua nahiyesi ile Hunagcheng kasabasında yaşamaktadırlar. Bugün hem Türkçe hem de Moğolca konuşan Sarı Uygurlar dil kaybı tehlikesi içindedirler.

Tezde, Türkçe konuşan Sarı Uygur Türklerinin yoğun olarak yaşadığı bölgelerden 2011 ve 2012-2013 tarihleri arasında derlediğimiz ses kayıtları temelinde Sarı Uygur Türkçesi ağızlarının hem betimlemeli hem de tarihsel ve karşılaştırmalı ses bilgisi incelenmiştir. Tez bir giriş ve yedi bölümden oluşmaktadır. “Giriş” bölümünde tezin sınırları, yöntemleri, çalışmamızın temelini oluşturan malzemenin elde edilmesi gibi konular üzerinde durulmuştur. Tezin 1. Bölümünde, Çince birincil kaynaklar da değerlendirilerek Sarı Uygur Türklerinin tarihi ve Sarı Uygur Türklerinin yaşadıkları yer ayrıntılı olarak tanıtılmıştır. Tezin 2. Bölümünde Sarı Uygur lehçesinin Türk dili içindeki yeri belirlenmeye çalışılmış, Sarı Uygur Türkçesi üzerinde yapılan çalışmalar ve Sarı Uygurların dil durumu üzerinde durulmuştur. Tezin 3. Bölümünde Sarı Uygur Türkçesi ağızları ses düzeni ve parçalar-üstü unsurlar bakımından betimlenmiştir. 4. Bölümde Ortak Türkçe ile Sarı Uygur Türkçesi ağızları tezin “Metin” bölümündeki ağız malzemesine dayanılarak tarihsel ve karşılaştırmalı olarak bütün yönleri ile incelenmiştir. Bu bölüm Ortak Türkçenin ünlü ve ünsüz seslerinin sözcükteki bütün konumları dikkate alınarak Sarı Uygur ağızlarındaki değişme ve gelişme aşamalarının belirlendiği ve Ortak Türkçe seslerin Sarı Uygur ağızlarındaki linguistik değişkenlerinin dağılımlarının ortaya konduğu bir bölümdür. 5. Bölümde, Sarı Uygur ağızları benzeşme, benzeşmezlik, fonolojik dayanıklılık, tam parça süreçleri gibi fonolojik ve morfonolojik süreçler bakımından ele alınıp incelenmiştir. 6. Bölüm, metinlerden oluşmaktadır. Derlemelerimiz IPA (Uluslararası Fonetik Alfabe) ile yazıya geçirilmiş ve hem bu bölümde hem de inceleme bölümlerinde bütün Sarı Uygur Türkçesi biçimler için IPA kullanılmıştır. 7. Bölüm, “Metinler”in bir dizinidir. Sonda tezin hazırlanması sırasında yararlanılmış olan kaynaklar yer almaktadır.

Summary

This thesis is a phonological study of Yellow Uygur Turkish sub-dialects. The speakers of Turkish Yellow Uygur along with Mongolian Yellow Uygur speakers, together making up the mutual ethnonym Yugur, densely populate the Gansu State’s Sunan Yellow Uygur Autonomous County’s Dahe and Minghua districts and Hunagcheng town. Currently both Mongolian and Turkish speakers are faced with the threat of linguistic extinction.

The thesis explores the descriptive and historical comparative phonology of Yellow Uygur sub-dialects based on the sound records collected from the areas densely populated by Yellow Uygur Turks in 2011 and 2012-2013. The thesis is composed of an introduction and seven parts. In “Introduction” the limitations, methodologies and the material on which our study is based are dealt with. In the First Part, a historical sketch of Yellow Uygur Turks and a detailed presentation of their homeland is given by evaluating the primary sources in Chinese language and other sources. In the Second Part, the effort is made to identify the placement of the Yellow Uygur Turkish inside Turkish language and the previous studies on the topic along with the linguistic situation of Yellow Uygurs is analysed. In the Third Part, Yellow Uygur sub-dialects are linguistically described regarding phonological system and suprasegmental elements. In the Fourth Part, based on dialectological material in the “Text” part of the thesis and comparing with General Turkish, a complete exploration of the Yellow Uygur sub-dialects is given within a historical-comparative approach. In this part, the stages of linguistic changes and developments in the dialects of the Yellow Uygur are determined in respect to the all patterns of the vowel and consonant sounds in the words in General Turkish. And in this part, the distributions of the linguistic alternations of General Turkish sounds in Yellow Uygur sub-dialects are shown. In the Fifth Part, Yellow Uygur sub dialects are investigated in terms of phonological and morphophonological processes such as assimilation, dissimilation, phonological strength and whole-segment processes. The Sixth Part contains the texts. The collected data is transcribed using IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) and not only in this part but also throughout the thesis for all Yellow Uygur forms the IPA is employed. The Seventh Part is the index of the texts. It is followed by the last part which contains all the sources referred to in the course of writing the thesis.
