| Tez; kaynaklar ve araştırmalar, giriş ile 2 bölümden oluşmaktadır. Kaynaklar ve Araştırmalar kısmı detaylı bir şekilde hazırlanmış, tezde kullanılan dönemin tüm kaynakları tanıtılmıştır.Giriş bölümünde kuruluşundan 1204’e kadar Trabzon kentinin tarihi ana hatları ile çağdaş araştırmalardaki bilgiler ışığında ortaya konulmuştur. Aslında Trabzon İmparatorluğu’nun, 1204 yılından önce ortaya çıkmaya başlayan otonom yapının bir devamı olduğu ortaya konulmaya çalışılmış ve böylece imparatorluğun kuruluş sürecini hazırlayan sebepler tartışılmıştır.I. Bölümde ise, Trabzon İmparatorluğu’nun kuruluş süreci ve bu sürece etki eden faktörler ele alınmaktadır. Bu süreçte Trabzon İmparatorluğu’nun ilk yıllarındaki siyasî faaliyetleri Selçuklularla ilişkileri açısından öne çıkarılmıştır. I. Bölümün ikinci kısmında ise Moğol İstilası ile başlayan dönemde Trabzon İmparatorluğu’nun dış politikaları incelenmiştir. 1214 yılından itibaren Selçuklu Türklerine tabi olan Büyük Komnenosların, 1243 yılındaki Kösedağ Savaşı’ndan sonra bölgede yeni ortaya çıkan Moğollara nasıl tabi oldukları dönemin kaynaklarının elverdiği ölçüde ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır.Tezimizin II. Bölümünde ise; Anadolu’da Selçuklu ve İlhanlı hakimiyetinin çökmesi ile beraber batı uclarında olduğu gibi Kuzey Doğu Anadolu’da da ortaya bazı Türkmen Beylikleri çıkmış ve Trabzon İmparatorluğu’nu köşeye sıkıştırarak kendileri ile ittifaka zorlamamıştır. Bütün bu ilişkiler bölgede yaşanan siyasî gelişmeler ve ortaya çıkan yeni durum ekseninde incelenmiştir.Sonuç olarak ?Trabzon İmparatorluğu ve Türkler 1204-1404? adını taşıyan bu çalışmamızda, iki yüzyıl boyunca Doğu Karadeniz bölgesinde yaşanan siyasî gelişmeler, Trabzon İmparatorluğu çerçevesinde ve kaynakların elverdiği ölçüde bütün detayları ile ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. | |||
| The dissertation consists of two parts; sources and researches and introduction. Sources and Researches part is prepared elaborately, all the sources of the period cited in the dissertation are presented.In the introduction part the history of the city of Trebizond, from its establishment until 1204, is put forward with its main lines in the light of information of modern researches. Essentially, the fact that the Empire of Trebizond was a continuation of the autonomous form emerging before the year 1204 was tried to be put forth, in this way the causes that lead to the establishment of the emperorship were discussed.As for the first part the establishment process of the Empire of Trebizond and the factors affecting this process are taken into consideration. In this process the political actions in the initial years of the Empire of Trebizond is given preference for its relation with the Seljuqs. As for the second section of the first part the foreign policy of the Empire of Trebizond in the period starting with the Mongol Invasion is inspected. It is tried to put forth, as far as the sources of the period suffice, how the Grand Komnenos who were dependent to the Seljuqs of Anatolia since the year 1214 become dependent to the Mongols which emerged recently in the region after the war of Kosedag in 1243. As for the second part of my dissertation, after the falling down of the Seljuqs and the Ilkhanids domination in Anatolia, some Turcoman principalities emerged in the Northeastern Anatolia as they also emerged in the west, and they forced the Empire of Trebizond to ally with them by putting pressure. All these relations are inspected within the perspective of the political development and new emerging in the region.In conclusion, in our study named ?the Empire of Trebizond and Turks 1204-1404?, the political improvement experienced during two centuries in Eastern Black Sea is tried to put forth with all its details within the frame of the Empire of Trebizond and concerning the sources. | |||
