Goalball Sporcularında Spora Katılım Motivasyonunun Değerlendirilmesi

Öz

The aim of the research is to determine the motivation levels of visually impaired athletes between the ages of 16-40 who are actively playing Goalball within the Turkey Sports Federation for the Visually Impaired and to examine them in terms of branch, age, gender, and years of playing sports. In the study, “Personal Information Form” prepared by the researchers and “Motıvatıon Scale For Sports Partıcıpatıon Of People Wıth Dısabılıtıes (MSSPPD)” were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of the data; frequency, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and Independent sample T test were used to determine the difference according to gender. For all other variables, analyses were performed using Oneway ANOVA test. POST-HOC-Tukey test was applied to determine the source of the difference in variables with more than two categories. As a result of the research, no significant difference was found in the variables of gender, age, educational status and sport age in the sub-dimensions of the sport participation motivation scale of goalball players (P>0.05). While no significant difference was found in the variables of years of playing goalball in extrinsic motivation and non-motivated sub-dimensions of Sport Participation Motivation Scale (p>0.05), a significant difference was found in the sub-dimension of intrinsic motivation between the years of playing 1-5 years and 11 years and more (p0,05).
