| Sanat, insanlığın başlangıcından itibaren durmadan gelişen, ne şekilde üretildiğine bakmadan insanı düşünmeye yönelten, hayatın temel kavramlarından biridir. Bazen toplumsal olayları anlamamızı bazen de düşünmeden sadece o güzelliğe odaklanmamızı sağlayan yegane bir oluşumdur. Bunların içinde, en aşina olunan sanat dalı olan resim sanatının her kesimce bilinmesi, anlaşılabilmesi ve incelenmeye devam edilmesi adına yapılan çalışmalar göstermektedir ki sanat, elbet hak ettiği yere gelecektir. Resim sanatının kuşkusuz birçok ustası, dehası vardır. Bunlardan biri olarak kendine yer edinen Paul Gauguin, gerek yaptığı çalışmalar gerekse dünyaya bakışı, üslubu ve içindeki resim tutkusuyla kendi çağının sanatçılarından bir adım öne geçmiştir. Bir renk ve gizem ustası olarak Fransız coğrafyasında doğup kendini ve tarzını her zaman geliştiren bir sanatçı olmuştur. Hayatının her döneminde kendi seçimlerini yapıp, sonuçları ne olursa olsun bir şekilde bunlara katlanan ve içinde bulunduğu, kimi zaman dayanılmaz, durumlara bile sanatıyla ve içindeki sanat tutkusuyla karşı gelmeyi bilmiştir. Bu çalışmada özellikle incelenmek istenen Gauguin’in Tahiti’de geçirdiği dönem ve orada meydana getirdiği eserlerdir. Kendisini her zaman ilkel güzelliği bulmaya adamış ve bunun için doğduğu coğrafyayı hatta ailesini geride bırakarak Tahiti’ye yerleşmiştir. Özellikle Tahiti resimlerinde görebileceğimiz üzere, buranın halkı, ilkelliği, bu adanın el değmemişliği sanatçıyı derinden etkilemiştir. Bu ilkellik ve vahşilik içinde hayatının en keyif aldığı dönemlerini yaşamış en çarpıcı eserlerini meydana getirmiştir. Tahiti kültürünün her yönünü resimlerine yansıtırken batı kültürünün de dini konularını zaman zaman resimlerine konu etmiştir. Gauguin’in resimlerinde Tahitili kadın şeklinde betimlenmiş bir Havva görmek oldukça normal bir şeydir. Gauguin’in doğduğu Fransız coğrafyası ile başlayan bu çalışma, Tahiti resimlerini daha iyi analiz edebilmek adına ilk dönemde yaptığı resimlerin de örnekleri ile başlar. Hayatını önemli ölçüde etkileyen sanatçı Van Gogh ile birlikte yaşadığı zamanlar ve yaptığı çalışmalar ile devam eder. Hayatının Tahiti’de geçirdiği dönemi, zirve yapan sanatı ile ilgili detaylı bilgiler ve Tahiti döneminde yaptığı çalışmaları ile sona erer. Tahiti her zaman Gauguin’in kayıp cenneti olmuştur. Sanatçı bu cennette, dünya sanat tarihine eşi görülmemiş eserler bırakmıştır. | |||
| Art has been one of the fundamental concepts of life, which has been prograssing continually since the beginning of humanity and has directed the human being to think regardless of how it is produces. It is a unique formation which enables us not only to concentrate only on that beauty without thinking. Among these, the studies, which have been carried out in order fort he most familiar field of art, the art of painting to be introduced and appreciated by every person from all strata and to continue tobe analyzed, indicate that art will certainly attain the status that it truly deserves. There are undoubtedly several masters and geniuses of the art of painting. As one of these, Paul Gauguin, who has carved a niche for himself, has moved one step ahead of the contemporary artists of his age both in terms of his point of view on life, his style and his passion for painting. He has become an artist who was born in French region and always developed himself and his style as a master of colour and mystery. By making his own choices in every part of his life, he knew how to endure the situations no matter what their consequences were in a way and he was able to object to situtions that he was in, even sometimes unbearable, with the help of his art. In this study, the period that of Gauguin spent in Tahiti and the Works he produced there are specifically intended to be analyzed. He always dedicated himself to find primitive beauty and in order to achieve this, he settled down Tahiti by leaving the region that he was born in and even his family behind. As it can be observed from his Tahiti paintings, the people of his region, their primitiveness and the intact natüre of this island influenced the artist profoundly. He lived the most delightful parts of his life within this primitiveness and wildness and produced his most striking works. While reflecting every aspect of Tahitian culture on his paintings, he also mentioned the religious subjects of the western culture in his paintings from time to time. In the Paintings of Gauguin, it is quite normal thing to see an Eve described as a Tahitian waoman. This study, which has started with the region that Gauguin was born in, has also started with the examples of the paintings which he produced in his early period for he sake of a better analysis of Tahitian piantings. It continues with the times during which he lived Van Gogh, the artists affecting his life to a considerable extent, and with the Works he carried out. The part of his life in which he spent in Tahiti ends with detailed information related to his art reaching its pek and with the works he carried out in the period of Tahiti. Tahiti has always been the lost paradise of Gauguin. In this paradise, the artist has left unprecedented works of art for the world art history. | |||
