| Bu tez, tarihçi ve yazar Ziya Nur Aksun’un yaşamını ve tarihçiliğini konu edinmektedir. 29 Mayıs 1930 tarihinde Konya’da dünyaya gelmiş olan Ziya Nur Aksun’un hayatına yön veren detayları da göz önünde bulundurmak suretiyle, kaleme almış olduğu tarih çalışmalarını inceleyip analiz ederken; içinde yaşadığı dönemdeki, din-ideoloji-tarih eksenli tartışmalara ve yaşanan kimlik bunalımına da temas edilmiştir. Ziya Nur Aksun, kimi zaman Osmanlı tarihine karşı romantik yaklaşımı; modernleşme sürecine ve aktörlerine karşı sert tutumu; kimi zaman da tarihsel gerçekliği yansıtma gayreti taşıyan eserleri ile Osmanlı tarihi çalışmalarına katkı sunmuştur. Ayrıca bu tezde, dönemin sohbet mahfillerinden Marmara Kıraathanesinin en önemli siması olan Ziya Nur Aksun ve tarih sohbetleri üzerinden, tarih ilmi ve retoriğinin iç içe geçmiş yapısı irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Yine, Aksun tarafından başlatılan Söğüt Gezileri, tarihsel sosyoloji ve kültür tarihi çalışması olarak ele alınmıştır. İşaret edilen varsayımların tarihçiliğe yansımaları da gösterilmeye gayret edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda, tarih ilminin bir disiplin olarak kabul edildiği zamanlardan günümüze değin nasıl bir yöntem ile araştırılması, yazılması ve okunması gerektiğine dair kaleme alınmış yayınlar incelenmiş ve literatürdeki görüşler dikkate alınmıştır. Bu görüşlerden en çok dikkat çekeni; bir tarih eserini incelemeden önce onu kaleme alan tarihçiyi incelemenin önemine dikkat çeken görüş olmuştur. Bu teorik birikim göz önünde bulundurularak Ziya Nur Aksun ve tarihçiliği değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. | |||
| This thesis focuses on the life and historiography of the historian and writer Ziya Nur Aksun. Taking into account the details that shaped Ziya Nur Aksun’s life, who was born on May 29, 1930 in Konya, this thesis examines and anlyzes the historical studies he has written, while also adressing the discussions centered around religion, ideology and history, as well as the identity crises experienced during the period he lived in. Ziya Nur Aksun’s contributed to the study of Ottoman history with his romantic approach to Ottoman history, his harsh attitude towards the modernization process and its actors; and his works that sometimes strive to reflect historical reality. In addition, in this thesis, the intertwined structure of history science and rhetoric has been tried to be examined through the conversations of Ziya Nur Aksun, who is the most important figure of the Marmara Coffee House, and his history talks. The Söğüt Excursions initiated by Aksun are also discused as a study of historical sociology and cultural history. Efforts have also been made to show the reflections of these hypotheses on historiography. In this context, the publications written, and read from the times when it was accepted as a discipline until today were examined and the opinions in the literature were taken into consideration. The most prominent of these views is the one that draws attention to the importance of examining the historian who wrote a work of history before analyzing it. Considering this theoretical background, Ziya Nur Aksun and his historiography have been evaluated. | |||
