| XVIII. yüzyıl, birkaç edebî akıma şahit olmuştur. Bunlardan biri İslam dünyasına hayranlık duyan Oryantalizm akımıdır. Dönemin İslam dünyasının temsilcisi konumunda olan Osmanlı İmparatorluğu, Oryantalistler için büyük bir çalışma alanı olmuştur. Bu minvalde pek çok çalışma ortaya çıkmış olup bunlardan birisi de Osmanlı-Ermeni kökenli meşhur İsveçli siyasetçi Mouradgea d’Ohsson’un “Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun Genel Tablosu” adlı eseridir. D’Ohsson bu eserde Osmanlı devletinin genel tarihini, siyaset ve hukuku anlayışını, yerleşik örf ve adetleri gibi çeşitli konuları ele almaktadır. Çalışmamız d’Ohsson’un adı geçen eseri üzerine olup bu bağlamda kitabın kaynaklarını, önemini ve etkisini göstermeye gayret edeceğiz. Ayrıca eserin bazı bölümlerini ve özellikle nikah bölümünü inceleyecek, yazarın ele aldığı konular hakkındaki görüş ve düşüncelerini de ele alıp değerlendireceğiz. | |||
| The 18th century was marked by several literary movements. Among these is the one who devotes a fascination to the Muslim world, the Orientalism. As the representative of the Muslim world at the time, the Ottoman Empire as a whole was a major subject of work. Many works were written and among these, one stands out from the others for the veracity of its proposals and its proximity to the Empire. This is the book by the well-known Swedish diplomat of Ottoman-Armenian origin Mouradgea d’Ohsson, the famous “Tableau Général de l’Empire Othoman”. This book is the subject of this present work. We will try to demonstrate the importance of the book, its influence as well as the ambition of its author. We will also examine some parts of the book and verify the veracity of the author’s proposals in relation to the topics covered. Le XVIIIe siècle est marqué par plusieurs mouvements littéraires. Parmi ceux-ci figure celui qui voue pour le monde musulman une fascination, l’Orientalisme. Étant le représentant du Monde Musulman de l’époque, l’Empire Ottoman fut, dans son ensemble, un sujet de travail majeur. Bon nombre de travaux virent le jour et parmi ceux-ci, un se démarque des autres de par la véracité de ses propos et de sa proximité à l’Empire. C’est le livre du célèbre diplomate Suédois d’origine Ottomane-Arménienne Mouradgea d’Ohsson, le fameux “Tableau Général de l’Empire Othoman”. Ce dit livre est le sujet de ce présent travail. Nous allons essayer de démontrer l’importance du livre, de son l’influence ainsi que l’ambition de son auteur. Nous allons également examiner quelques parties du livres et vérifier la véracité des propos de l’auteur par rapport aux sujets abordés. | |||
