“Osmanlı hukukçusu Ebussuûd Efendi ve fetvâları” başlığı ile yapılan bu çalışmada, Ebussuûd Efendi’nin hayatı, kişiliği ve eserleri üzerinde durulmuş, fetvâları yazma eser kütüphanelerinden tespit edilen eserler zemininde incelenmiştir. Bu eserlerde yer alan fetvâlar fetvâ şukkaları, müstakil derlemeler, muhtelif eserlerin metin ya da kenar kayıtlar şeklinde tasnif edilerek ele alınmış, kaynakların her birinden örnekler sunulmuştur. Kaynak kullanımında müstakil mecmûalardan Velî b. Yusuf Sinan b. Ramazan derlemeleri ile Süleymaniye Kütüphanesi İsmihan Sultan koleksiyonunda bulunan iki mecmû esas alınmış, diğer mecmûalarda yer alan meselelere de atıflarda bulunulmuştur. İlgili kaynaklarda yer alan konular hakkında istatistik tespitler yapılarak Ebussuûd Efendi dönemi problemleri hakkında kısa da olsa bilgi verilmiştir. İtikadi ve tasavvufî fetvâları tasnif edilerek tanıtılmış, fıkhî meseleler ise fıkıh ve fetvâ usûlü açısından detaylı olarak tahlil edilmiştir.

This work having been entitled with the “Fatwas of the Ottoman Jurist Abu Suud Afandi”, deals with Abu Suud Efandis biography, his character and works. His Fatwas are examined through the works that had been detected from the libraries of manuscripts. In this research the including fatwas, the Fatwa Shukkas (the original forms of fatwas), exclusive miscellanies are considered to be classified as either the textual records or the side quotations and examples are presented from there within these sources. In the usage of the sources, these two miscellanies within Vali Bin Yusuf Sinan Bin Ramazan miscellanies alongisde the Suleymaniye Librarys Ismihan Sultan Collections are considered primarily and references are also rendered for the remaining issues in other magazines. Also, a concise acknowledgement on the life of Abu Suud Afandi is provided through the stastical reports in the related sources. His fatwas on islamic creed and sufism are presented introductively presented. The matters regarding jurisprudence have been analyzed within details in terms of both the Methodic Islamic Jurisprudence and Fatwa Methodism.
