| Keneler hem doğada çok sayıda zoonotik hastalık etkeninin taşınmasında hem de bu patojenlerin insan ve hayvanlara naklinde önemli rol oynayan ektoparazitlerdir. Bu çalışmada Sivas ili, Zara ilçesinde özellikle yabani hayvanlarda parazitlenen sert kenelerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada, 2011-2012 yılları arasında Zara ilçesinde yakalanan 1118 kuş, sürüngen ve memeli havyanın üzerinden toplam 373 kene toplandı. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre bölgede 5 cinse ait 11 kene türünün yaban hayvanları üzerinde parazitlendiği tespit edilmiştir. Bu türlerden Ixodes vespertilionis, Ixodes laguri ve Haemaphysalis erinacei Sivas ili sert kene faunası için ve Ixodes vespertilionis İç Anadolu Bölgesi için, ilk defa tanımlanmıştır. | Ticks are ectoparazites which play an important role in the transmission of many zoonotic disease agents in the nature and also transport these pathogens to humans and animals. In this study it is aimed to determine hard tick species that infesting wild animals in Sivas, Zara vicinity. In the study 373 tick specimens were collected from 1118 birds, reptiles, and mammals. Totally 11 tick species belonging to 5 genera were identified infesting on wild animals. Of these species Ixodes vespertilionis, Ixodes laguri and Haemaphysalis erinacei are recorded first time for the fauna of Sivas province, and Ixodes vespertilionis for the fauna of Central Anatolian Region. It can be seen from the results that, Zara region has a rich species diversity in terms of hard ticks. Key Words: Acari, Fauna, Ixodidae, Hard ticks, Zara, Sivas, Turkey | |||
