| ÖZET MANYAS KUŞ GÖLÜ FÎT0PLANKTON KOMUNİTE YAPISI Tıığfoa ONGUN Balıkesir Üniversitesi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Biyoloji Anabilim Balı (Yüksek Lisans Teri / Tez Danışmanı : Yrd. Doç. Dr. Kemal ÇELİK) Balıkesir, 2004 Manyas Kuş Gölü’nün fitoplankton gruplarının tür bileşimi, her türün yoğunluklanndaki ve biyokütlelerindeki değişimleri belirlemek suretiyle Ocak ve Aralık 2003 tarihleri arasında belirlenen dört istasyondan örnekler aylık olarak alınmıştır. Fitoplanktonun teşhisi yapıldıktan sonra su örneklerine sedimantasyon yöntemi uygulanmış, Olympus BX51 marka mikroskop üzerindeki su immersiyon objektiflerle Pakner-Maloney sayım kamarası kullanılarak sayımlan yapılmıştır. Hücresel biyokütle değerlendirilmesi, hücresel hacim hesabı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma süresince Bacillariophyta grubuna ait 58, Chlorophyta grubuna ait 55, Cyanobacteria grubuna ait 18, Euglenophyta grubuna ait 22 olmak üzere toplam 153 tür tanımlanmıştır. Bacillariophyta grubu üyeleri kış ve ilkbahar aylarında, Cyanobacteria grubu üyeleri yaz ve sonbahar aylarında hücre yoğunluklannda gösterdikleri artışlar sonucu fitoplanktonda hakim olmuşlardır. Bacillariophyta grubundan Achnanthes microcephala (Kütz.) Cleve, Fragilaria pinnaîa Ehr., Cyclotella stylorum Brightwell ve Nitzschia palea (Küte.) Smith, Chlorophyta grubundan Scenedesmus communis Hegewald, Monoraphidium minutum (Nageli) Kom.-Leg., Pandorina minodi Chod. ve Pandorina morum (O. Müller) Bory de Saint-Vincent, Cyanobacteria grubundan Leptolyngbya tenuis (Gom.) Anag.&Kom., Planbothrix rubescens (De Candolîe ex Gom.) Anag.&Kom., Microcystis aeruginosa Kütz., Gomphosphaeria aponina Kütz., Komvophoron constrictum (Szafer) Anag.&Kom., Anahaena spiroides Klebahn, Aphanocapsa elachista West&West ve Merismopedia tenuissima Lemra, Euglenophyta grubundan Phacus pusilius Lemm. belirli dönemlerde hücre yoğunluklarında görülen artışlar sonucu fitoplanktonun dominant üyelerini teşkil etmişlerdir. | ABSTRACT MANYAS KUŞ LAKE PHYTOPLANKTON COMMUNITY STRUCTURE Tuğba ONGUN Balıkesir University, Institute of Science, Department of Biology (Master Thesis / Thesis Advisor : Assistant Professor Kemal ÇELİK) Balıkesir – Turkey, 2004 In order to determine the species composition, the population density and the biomass of each phytoplankton species of Manyas Kuş Lake monthly sampling was carried out between January and December 2003. The identification and counting of phytoplankton were carried out using a Olympus BX51 compound microscope equiped with water immersion lenses and phase-contrast devices. For the counting, a Palmer-Maloney phytoplankton counting chamber was used. The biomass was calculated from the biovolume of the cells. During the course of the study, 58 species in the genera of Bacillariophyta, 55 species in Chlorophyta, 18 species in Cyanobacteria and 22 species in Euglenophyta were identified. Bacillariophyta species were dominant in winter and spring, whereas Cyanobacteria members dominated phytoplankton in summer and fall. The following species dominated the phytoplankton in different time of the year in Manyas Kuş Lake during the course of the study. Achnanthes microcephala (Küte.) Anag.&Kom., Microcystis aeruginosa Kütz., Gomphosphaeria aponina Küte., Komvophoron constriction (Szafer) Anag.&Kom., Anabaena spiroides Klebahn, Aphanocapsa elachista West&West and Merismopedia tenuissima Lemm. in the genera of Cyanobacteria and Phacus pusillus Lemm in the genera of Euglenophyta.
